Riyad as-Salihin

Ibn 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) went to bed hungry for several successive nights, nor did his family have a thing for supper for many consecutive nights; and their bread was mostly of barley.
