Dhikr Meaning الذكر
Bismillah In the name of Allah. بِسْمِ اللَّهِ
Subhanallah Allah is free from imperfection. سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ
Alhamdulillah Allah praise is due to Allah. ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ
Allahu Akbar Allah is Greatest. اللّٰهُ أَكْبَر
La ilaha illallah There is none worthy of worship except Allah لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ
Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdih Allah is free from imperfection. سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ.
Astaghfirullah I seek forgiveness from Allah. أستغفر الله
Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi, Subhan-Allahil-Azim Glory be to Allah and His is the praise, (and) Allah, the Greatest is free from imperfection سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ , سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ
Ya hayyu ya qayyum bi-rahmatika astagheeth O Living, O Self-Sustaining Sustainer! In Your Mercy do I seek relief يَا حَىُّ يَا قَيُّومُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُ
Subhan-Allah, wal-hamdu-lillah, wa la ilaha illallah, wa Allahu Akbar Glory is to Allah, praise is to Allah, none has the right to be worshiped but Allah and Allah is the Most Great. سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ
La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah There is no power and no strength except with Allah لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ
Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdih, Astaghfirullah wa atubu ilaih Allah is free from imperfection, I beg forgiveness from Allah and I turn to Him in repentance. سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ , أَسْـتَـغْـفِـرُ اللهَ وَ أَ تُـوبُ إِ لَـْيهِ
Rabbighfirli watub `alayya innaka antat-Tawwabul-Ghafur
(alternative is to recite Tawwabur-Rahim)
O my Rubb, forgive me, and accept my repentance. Verily, You are the Oft-Returning, the Most Forgiving.
(Ghafur = forgiving, Rahim = Merciful)
رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَتُبْ عَلَىَّ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الْغَفُورُ
Allahumm-aghfir li, warhamni, wajburni, wahdini, warzuqni O Allah! Pardon me, have mercy on me, help me, guide me, and grant me sustenance. اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي وَاجْبُرْنِي وَاهْدِنِي وَارْزُقْنِي
La ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa Huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in Qadir; Subhan-Allah walhamdu lillahi, wa la ilaha illallahu, wa Allahu Akbar, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billahil-‘Aliyil-‘Azim. Rabbighfirli. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, with no partner or associate. His is the dominion and all praise is to Him, and He is Able to do all things. Glory is to Allah, praise is to Allah, none has the right to be worshiped but Allah, Allah is the Most Great, and there is no power and no strength except with Allah, the Most High, the Most Supreme. O Lord, forgive me. لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ
x1 رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِ
Allahumma Salli ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala aali Muhammadin, kama sallaita ‘ala Ibrahima wa ‘ala aali Ibrahima innaka Hamidum-Majeed. Allahumma barik ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala aali Muhammadin kama barakta ‘ala Ibrahima wa ‘ala aali Ibrahima innaka Hameedum-Majeed. O Allah, send your grace, honour and mercy upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent Your grace, honour and mercy upon Ibrahim, You are indeed Praiseworthy, Most Glorious. O Allah, send Your blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You sent Your blessings upon Ibrahim, You are indeed Praiseworthy, Most Glorious ٱللَّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ ٱللَّٰهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ
