Al-Yasa or Elisha/Elyas’ (AS) was a messenger of Allah and was sent down as a successor to Prophet Elijah (AS) to help guild the Children of Israel. He lived among the people and called upon them to obey the laws and commandments of Allah.
Not much is known about the life of Elyas’ (AS), but Allah speaks very highly of him on the Quran in the two ayahs that he is mentioned in.
"˹We also guided˺ Ishmael, Elisha, Jonah, and Lot, favouring each over other people ˹of their time˺."
"Also remember Ishmael, Elisha, and Ⱬul-Kifl. All are among the best."
