  • Pollination

    Pollination is the transfer of pollen from the male part of a plant to the female part. Pollinating agents are insects, animals, water and wind. Some plant species even rely solely on wind for pollination. While this was known recently, however this was portrayed in the Quran 1400 years ago. Quran 15:22. Scientists have also found that strong winds hinder pollination, this was also mentioned in the Quran: Quran 51:41

  • Fluorescence

    NASA is studying the emissions of plants from space. Emissions studied by NASA are namely "Chlorophyll fluorescence". While this was known recently, however it was portrayed in the Quran 1400 years before it was discovered. In chapter "The Light" olive oil emits light without fire. Quran 25:35

  • Plant Stress

    1400 years ago people didn't know that water affects the color of leaves. Today we know that too much water or too little water can turn leaves yellow. This was known recently, however this was portrayed in the Quran 1400 years before it was discovered. Quran 39:21

  • Antioxidants

    The antioxidants found in pomegranates and dates help prevent heart attacks. Pomegranates and dates are powerful antioxidants. This was known recently, however this was portrayed in the Quran 1400 years before it was discovered. Dates and pomegranates are preferred fruits in Paradise. Quran 55:68

  • Frost

    When water inside the plant cells freezes it expands. This expansion ruptures the cell walls, killing the cell. This is why plants die in low temperatures. This was known recently, however this was portrayed in the Quran 1400 years before it was discovered: Quran 3:117
