Doors of Jannah

1. Baab As-Salaat

This gate will allow those people to enter Paradise who were punctual and attentive in their prayers. Allah promised great rewards for those who prayed with sincerity and faith and this gate will be the fulfillment of this promise, it says in the Quran:

“Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds and establish prayer and give zakah will have their reward with their Lord, and there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve”

I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, "Anybody who spends a pair of something in Allah's Cause will be called from all the gates of Paradise, "O Allah's slave! This is good.' He who is amongst those who pray will be called from the gate of the prayer (in Paradise) and he who is from the people of Jihad will be called from the gate of Jihad, and he who is from those' who give in charity (i.e. Zakat) will be called from the gate of charity, and he who is amongst those who observe fast will be called from the gate of fasting, the gate of Raiyan." Abu Bakr said, "He who is called from all those gates will need nothing," He added, "Will anyone be called from all those gates, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)?" Ways of Attaining Jannah

The doors above are ways for us to try and strive for Jannah, but there are many more ways the Quran and Sunnah describes on how to attain Jannah.

  • Be one of the Righteous:
  • And whoever does righteous deeds, whether male or female, while being a believer – those will enter Paradise and will not be wronged, [even as much as] the speck on a date seed.

  • Do Not Associate Partners, Give Charity, and Keep Good Relations
  • Narrated Abu Aiyub: A man said to the Prophet (ﷺ) “Tell me of such a deed as will make me enter Paradise.” The people said, “What is the matter with him? What is the matter with him?” The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “He has something to ask. (What he needs greatly) The Prophet (ﷺ) said: (In order to enter Paradise) you should worship Allah and do not ascribe any partners to Him, offer prayer perfectly, pay the Zakat and keep good relations with your Kith and kin.” (Reference: Sahih al-Bukhari 1396. Volume 2 Book 23 Funerals

    (Al-Janaa’iz), Hadith 479)

  • Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying, “Whosoever visits an ailing person or a brother of his to seek the Pleasure of Allah, an announcer (angel) calls out: ‘May you be happy, may your walking be blessed, and may you be awarded a dignified position in Jannah”.

    At-Tirmidhi
